Using lemons to clean your home

No need for expensive cleaners use lemons instead to keep your home shiny and fresh.

Being a natural, organic substance, lemon is an environmentally friendly cleaning agent which acts as an antioxidant. Lemon juice contains citric acid and there are so many things around the home which lemon juice can help to clean.

We find the most common difficult areas that needs most attention where lemon can really make a difference are:

dissolving soap scum and hard water deposits;

cleaning and giving a shine to brass and copper;

polishing furniture and hardwood floors;

disinfecting kitchen work surfaces;

cleaning the dishes.

People like using lemons as a cleaning substance as the smell of lemons is refreshing and invigorating.  For many people, a lemon smell denotes cleanliness. For this reason, most over-the-counter cleaners have a lemon scent in their cleaning products for consumers to enjoy.  The beauty of using fresh lemon juice is that you don’t need to rinse afterwards, although you can if you want to.
