Your windows to your house are probably quite mucky after the horrible winter weather.  You will need some warm soapy water and a sponge to get all that yukiness off.

Not a nice job, but your gutters will need a good clean out which will be full of wet dirty leaves and other debris.

With winter nearly over and the onset of spring, it’s the perfect time to sort out the garage.  If you have a lot of stuff and rubbish to get rid of it is easier to hire a skip rather than to do numerous tip trips and particularly if some of the items are rather large.

Either way, clear the rubbish and then you will know what you are left with.  It is a good idea to put some shelving up or to purchase some cheap cabinets to keep your garage more organized.  Put bits and pieces such as screws and nails in plastic containers, etc.

Give your garage floor a good sweep too!

Next thing is to look at your fences and replace any that are rotten and have fallen down in the terrible winds we have endured.   It is a good idea to treat them with a treatment in order to protect them and help them last longer.

For a quick fix on making your garden look cleaner, rake up the leaves in the first instance.

If you garage or front doors need a fresh coat of paint, now is the time, it will give a good overall appearance from the front of your house and looks much nicer when visitors come.

Your patio and block paved drive is almost certainly going to be rather filfthy following the winter weather and now is a good time to hire a jet washing company such as Kleanology to pressure wash these areas, they will come up like new again if you have not let them get beyond the point of no return.

Your decking can be pressure washed too with a decking cleaner.  You must also use a decking protector otherwise your decking will eventually rot and collapse.

With all that cleaning done, to really neaten your garden up, pull out the weeds and prune your shrubs.

Before the weather really starts warming up, get your garden furniture out and give it a clean with the garden hose.  If it’s wooden furniture, use a wood protector once the furniture is dry.  Next clean up your barbecue too ready for those warm summer days and evenings.
