Devising Your Own Cleaning Schedule

First of all, make it a realistic one.  There is no point in setting yourself impossible tasks and times.  It is a good idea to say split your schedule into three sections.  One for those seldom tasks such as cleaning behind kitchen appliances, one for weekly tasks such as thorough bathroom and kitchen clean and one for the daily tasks such as wiping down kitchen worktops and cleaning out the sink.  Consider times in the day when you could do the cleaning, ie when you have a spare couple of hours with bags of energy.  If there are others in your household such as your partner and teenage children, rota them in to your schedule so they help out too.  Further divide your cleaning schedule into big and small tasks and fit the smaller jobs where there are gaps in your day.  There are different ways you can work your cleaning task but one would be to divide your house up into sections and clean on a rotational basis.  It all depends on the size of your house and what works best for you.  It’s a matter of trying it out and adjusting to what suits you and your household.

Whatever you do, try and make cleaning fun for you and your family, it doesn’t have to be a chore.
